• Mesopotamia/ Tigris and Euphrates Rivers
• Egypt/ Nile River
• India/ Indus River
• China/ Huang He River

Greece's Geography

• Greece is a mountainous peninsula 
• mountains cover 3/4 of Greece
• approximately 2000 islands in the Ionian and Aegean seas 
• Greeks had poor/limited natural resources
• Greeks were not united due to the terrain
• city-states were developed
