Today we talked about demographic transition more. We learned that once a nation enters a stage of demographic transition, they can not go back. No countries are currently in stage one of low growth. Most countries are in either stage three or stage four. The United States are in stage four because we have low birth rates and steady death rates. Our population continues to go up, because of immigration. Without immigration, our population would decrease.
