Today we started class with a pop quiz. I knew we were having one because I looked at Mr. Schick's blog, but I didn't study for it. I probably should've studied though, because I got a 6/10 on it. After that, we took some notes. I don't remember how exactly we ended up on this subject, however, we ended up talking about Tangier Island, a small island in Virginia. The people there are mostly uneducated and also very conservative. Scientists are concerned that the island could possibly be submerged in the next few decades, however the people don't believe in climate change. Scientists have attempted to inform the people that they should probably do something about this issue, however, Donald Trump, who is idolized by the people of Tangier called the mayor and informed him that there was no need to worry about this concern, and the gulliable people of Tangier went along with that claim, depsite the fact that Trump is not a scientist and very clearly knows little about climate change.
