Today was my first real day of school as a John Carroll freshman. The previous night, I had been very nervous about how the following day would function. The moment I sat down in my first class, biology, I realized that there was no need to worry and stress about the day because every other freshman was experiencing the same emotions that I was and that the teachers and upperclassmen would be there to help.
Throughout the day today, I lost my locker twice, forgot where my advisory met, and left my phone in two classrooms. Despite that, I made new friends, auditioned for the school play, and most importantly, learned. I feel very fortunate that I have the privlage of going to a private school and that I get to attend John Carroll. This first day had me eager and enthusiastic for the year to come. I can't wait to meet new people, learn new things, and get to experience high school.
