Demograohic Transition

Demographic Transition is the transition from high birth and death rates to lower birth and death rates as a country or region develops from a pre-industrial to an industrialized economic system. There are four stages of Demographic Transition. In the first stage, death rates and birth rates are somewhat in balance and are high. This is a pre-industrial society. Stage two is where death rates are higher than birth rates. This is a developing nation. Stage three is where birth rates fall. In stage four, there are low birth rates and low death rates.
